Sony Ericsson HBH-IV835 Headset
by Sony Ericsson
>>
Read Review (Rating 4/5) <<
The headset not only looks good it is easy to put on and take off. It fits perfectly in your ear when you are handling calls and can be carried around on a strap, a clip or in your shirt pocket. And it's lightweight design makes prolonged calls no burden at all.
The small size does not compromise sound quality with digital echo and noise cancellation, Fast automatic volume adjustment and Bluetooth 2.0 for a more secure connection, the HBH-IV835 provides the best possible sound quality for both you and the person you are talking to.- Exclusive Design - glossy black cover and pen shape form.
- Small and lightweight - forget you are wearing it.
- Superior sound - Bluetooth 2.0, Fast automatic volume adjustment, Digital Signal Processing (DSP) and Adaptive Frequency Hopping (AHF)

No Volume Control? Worthless to Me! |
This device looks good and is small, but the NO Volume control is a deal breaker. The problem with MOST of the bluetooth earpieces is that you can't hear them loud enough. If they would put a way to turn up the volume manually, it would be good, otherwise it's a bad design

Does not pair |
I was really impressed when I got it but now having trouble. It cannot pair with multiple devices unlike the old HBH one I had. Each time I need to change from computer to phone I need to re-pair the device

Discreet and not your typical chav earring. |
I resisted bluetooth until the law changed and had to bite the bullet. I hated the look of other earpieces. However, this one is great, you can wear it on its' lanyard and just pop it in if you get called. Sound and connection seems good too but I have no comparison to make.

Great Headset! I have used many BT headset this one is great |
I have used many BT headsets from Motorola, Jabra, and Sony ericcson. The hardware quality is good, as it is well made and not cheap feeling. I use it with my 700w and the sound quality is very good. No static, and the DSP and automatic volume control is very, very nice. People Can tell I am on a headset, BUT they have all said the sound quality is very good. The incoming sound is slightly digital in quality but very clear. As there is no ear loop it may get slightly loose and will need to be readjusted, but I think it is worth it, as I don't keep the ear piece on the whole time anyway. Basically I place it in my ear for the phone call and take it out when done. It is a great headset and I 100% recommend it. I liked it so much I bought a second one for backup, etc.

impressive |
I could not decide between the HBH-IV835 and teh Jabra JX10, so I bought both to compare. Still waiting for the jabra but so far I am really impressed with the Sony Ericsson. It is much smaller than it appears in the photos. I have small ears so I need an earplug type headset with no over the ear thing.. this one is very comfortable. The one button control is easy to find and the most impressive feature is just how immediately it answers calls and performs other functions such as redial and end. The control on the headset is as immediate as those on my treo. Overall the sound also quite good and the design is great. This is one of the few headsets you can also wear around your neck like a whistle. It comes with a very nice lanyard and clip worn around the neck, handy to keep it tucked under your jacket when out and about. To use the headset just unclip from the lanyard and go. Looking forward to the arrival of the JX10 to compare. ..but so far it is hard to imagine how the Ericsson could be beat.

Nice design but, |
I loved the shape of it. the sound quality was good. I got a lot of static, but the thing that made me send it back was the battery time. I could only get 1 1/2 hrs. talk time out of it. It was comfotable to wear and easy to use, but there is a reason why sony did'nt list battery stats.

I like it |
It's very sensitive to distance I would keep it no further than arms length away. Then again, I mostly bought it for the car, so it's fine for me. It's plenty loud with my 650 and sounds good. It doesn't interfere with glasses or sunglasses and it looks badass.

Comfortable but unreliable |
As others have noted, this phone has bluetooth connection problems. I noticed static and loss of connection - my prior model (plantronics voyager 510) was much better. On the plus side, it's extremely easy to use and comfortable for me, a glasses wearer. I think I need to return it...
