Not dependable |
I've had two H700s that have just stopped working after a couple of months each. They also lost connection with the phone. Too bad, because the call quality is good when they're working.

Treo 700wx Headset |
Works EXCELLENT with the Palm Treo 700wx. I tried (10) different Bluetooth headset until I tried the H700. It isn't perfect but it is the best match for the Palm Treo 700wx.

Terrible Performance |
I bought the H700 to use with my Treo 750, without checking for compatibility. As someone previously said, it drops calls and looses connection with the Treo. I had to stop using it in my car because I couldn't count on customers getting through to me when they called. What a disappointment. Treo needs to get with the program though and offer more compatibility with BT devices, there are only a couple listed on the Palm site, and of course they want you to buy the Palm versions which aren't very well rated.

I've only had it about a week .. works fine w/Treo650. It's not the D&G model .. but my wife's convinced she wants it for her LG. So we're getting her one.

H700 Works For Me... |
I started with a HS850, went to a Blue Ant and recently bought a H700... H700 volume is considerable louder and clearer than the HS850... H700 Mic. is considerably clearer than the HS850 and a whole lot better than the Blue Ant... Absolutely no complaints about transmitted background noise with the H700, had complaints with the two others (especially the Blue Ant)... H700 range (more than adequate) is about the same as the HS850 and considerably better than the Blue Ant... Both the H700 and the HS850 are advertised to answer when you open the boom, with my phone this function doesn't work and I have to push the multifunction button... Overall, I'm very happy with my H700...

Works when it wants to. |
I thought I was getting a great headset, especially with the price. Now I find myself not using it because, well, I can't. I'll have it set up on my Treo 700p, with the little icon showing that the headset is functional, and yeah, it'll work for a while, and then poof! I'll make a call, or receive one, and the headset will beep, but I don't hear any voices from it, and the Treo doesn't show it as being connected. I'm tired of it. I find myself using the stereo wired headset to listen to music as well as to talk hands-free. Not worth it.

beware of fake motorola |
I bought one on ebay, but it was a knock off. Go to Motorola.com/original. Needless to say the fake motorola sounds awful. So it is hard for any user to judge without knowing if they got a fake one (which are being sold even in local cell phone stores) or a real one.

Turns on in Case |
I bought the case for this unit and even with the microphone closed and thus the H700 turned off, any pressure on the case will cause it to "call" the phone and place a call.

Bad range / bad sound quality |
Unfortunately I took the words of the treocentral.com review to heart and purchased one of these. With a Treo 650 (unlocked GSM) the range is terrible and so is the sound quality.
People ask if you're "sick" when you're talking on it. The form factor and design are nice, it just doesn't work as described. The standard of quality (not necessarily design) and use in a BT headset is the Sony Ericsson HBH-300. Don't bother with this Motorola.
Hopefully future reviews of headsets will undergo a little more testing before passing future judgements.
