Swivel Clip Breaks |
I've now had three of the Seido Holsters and the click stop on the swivel clip stops functioning on all three, which lets the phone swing 180 deg. This time the holster only lasted a little over a month and I don't even use it on weekends. I love the form factor, but have wasted over $100 on three that have ended up up in the garbage.

Didn't hold up |
In less than a year, the clip, which has click stops to keep it from freely rotating, stopped clicking. This lets the phone rotate wherever it likes. This makes it impossible to use as it's always in a different position when you go for it, or the antenna of my 650 gets caught on things. I wouldn't purchase another one....

The 7 position belt clip will fail quickly! |
The Seidio Spring Clip Swivel Holster for the Treo 650/700 phone has one basic shortcoming. The belt clip has 7 positions that can be utilized to meet the user's preference. The problem is that the locking mechanism in the belt clip is inferior and will fail rather quickly. I know, I have had 2 of these and both failed within 2-3 months. The belt clip then rotates freely which becomes a frustration. This makes it difficult to return the phone to the holster because the holster rotates with no effort at all. I have actually turned my phone on and dialed a number unknowingly, while attempting to find the correct position to insert the phone back in the holster.
Other than the above the holster was okay does hold the phone securely.

Clip not strong enough |
I had the Seidio holster with the molded clip on the side as described in the article (under other styles of holsters). When I lost that case, I tried replacing it with the case reviewed here. Not only did I experience the SD card popping out everytime I tried to retrieve the phone one handed, but the top clip is no where near as strong as it should be. I had my phone fall out of the holster 3 times in a week on very minimalist movements.
Seidio customer service was great and allowed me to exchange the product for the original case I had (molded clip on side), which I love and still use as my #1 everyday clip.
IMHO, this case is not nearly as effecient or as effective as the molded side clip.
