Conclusion
Ive always been blessed with a good sense of direction except that one time as a youngster when I got totally lost in the woods a few blocks from home and Ive rarely needed help finding stuff if I get decent instructions on how to get there. Humans, however, dont all give good directions. Once in Wingate, North Carolina, a well meaning landlord told me how to find the country house I wanted to rent: cross the tracks and take a left after the third white house. All the houses were brick; it was the occupants who were white - hard to discern by someone moving from out of state. Oh, if Id had one of these Deluo GPSs sitting on my car seat, beaming information to a Treo 700w in my pocket. But that was then, and this is now.
Years later, I wrote user manuals for GPS units made by a company in Japan. Intended for the U. S. marine market, the thing was almost as big as a cinder block, considered tiny at the time. Now, Im reading about keychain GPS models , and weighing Deluos 1.625 by 2.625 by 0.75-inch, Treo-friendly unit at only 57 grams (1.9 ounces). This is definitely now.
