How to listen
(Fair warning: It's a long one today, clocking in at just over 45 minutes. But there was no way I was going to cut the interview about the Mobius conference short. Fret not - we'll return to our half-hour length next time.)
News
The Treo 750v is now available in the UK and likely elsewhere in Europe. TreoCentral's Douglas Morse has one and already provided some photos. More details on the 750v's release dates here.
We also discuss the news from the Q1 conference call. We rehash the hints that Colligan has dropped about the next Treo and also mention the slump in retails sales of Treos. Oh: and stick a fork in the unconnected PDA, it's done.
Finally, we also give a brief shout out to VoiceIndigo, whose new podcasting service for mobile phones is pretty slick. More details here. You might also notice that there are now 4 ways to get your TreoCast - directly, manually, via iTunes, or via VoiceIndigo.
Black Tie Contest
We play the winning entries for our Black Tie Treo contest. We'll contact the winners directly later today. In the meantime you really - and I meant really - should give them a listen. Otherwise Witchiepoo will get you.
Thanks again to Palm for providing our grand prize and thanks especially to everybody who entered!
Great accessories
Coming soon to the TreoCentral Store: The Neuros MPEG4 Recorder 2 PLUS, which is probably the most drop-dead simple way to get your video content on your Treo.
Update: The Neuros is now available at the TreoCentral Store
Also new to the TreoCentral store are Bluetooth Stereo Headsets. They're only compatible with the Treo 750v, but PalmOS users will want to check out the TreoCentral wiki article on Stereo Bluetooth tomorrow for the skinny on using Softick Audio Gateway.
Mobius
We had a long and great conversation with Michael Ducker about the recent Mobius conference. There is simply too much great stuff about Windows Mobile and the smartphone community to summarize here - just go give it a listen!
TreoCentral Community
Finally, we point out two threads that are worth a look:
We were very pressed for time (LOOOONG podcast!), so we didn't get a chance to mention Omg! The 700wx DOES have Threaded TEXT... according to Palm!. There's good humor in that thread.
