Palm Now Taking Pre-orders for Treo Pro

Tue Sep 9, 2008 - 3:51 PM EDT - By Jennifer Chappell

Overview

Update: I got an email from John, one of our TreoCentral readers, and he told me:

I just spoke to a palm rep about my treo pro order and he said it will ship within a week.

Sounds good! I sure hope Palm does ship them within a week because I can't wait to get my hands on mine. Thanks for writing in John and letting us know!

Yep, that's right! Palm is now taking pre-orders for the Treo Pro. The Treo Pro, which comes in Obsidian Black, will cost you $549.00.

If you pre-order one, you'll get a Free Treo Pro International Power Adapter, which normally costs $39.99. The offer for the free adapter ends on September 22nd, and/or while supplies last.

Palm's store site states that the Treo Pro will ship in 2-3 weeks so I guess we'll have a little wait, hence the "pre-order".

That's a lot of dough, but I must have one so I reckon I'll be coughing it up here in a little bit. After all, having these Palm smartphones is a major part of my job. And I can actually justify my purchase to my hubby. ;-)

Thanks to Phil over at WMExperts for the heads up on the pre-ordering! Thanks also to Brian and Rich!

And like Phil says, while we wait on the Treo Pro to ship out, be sure to read Dieter's extensive Treo Pro review. And you can also read the following Treo Pro coverage here on TreoCentral:

So... if you're hankering for a Palm Treo Pro and want to get your hands on what some are calling "the best Treo to date", head on over to Palm's website and put in your pre-order.

As soon as I get my Treo Pro, I'll post my thoughts on the device. ;-)
